About Yana Britsova | Los Angeles Brand, Family & Dance Photographer

Hi, I’m Yana, the photographer behind Britsova Photography.

My background started in journalism. I studied journalism and worked as a television reporter in Moscow on a morning show. That experience taught me how to notice real moments, tell stories visually, work with people, and capture emotion in a natural and meaningful way.

After moving to Los Angeles, my youngest daughter inspired me to pick up a camera and start photographing life around me. What began as a personal creative journey slowly became my profession and the foundation of my photography business.

In 2018, I started studying with Denis Persenen, a well-known lifestyle photographer in Russia. His approach helped me understand how to create images that feel natural, emotional, and alive. Since then, years of practice, education, and real client experience have shaped the way I photograph families, maternity sessions, brands, events, and creative portraits.

Over the years, I have photographed family stories, weddings, brand photo and video content for businesses, beauty professionals, wellness studios, private clients, and creatives. I love creating images that feel clean, modern, emotional, and useful — whether they are made for a family album, a website, social media, advertising, or a model portfolio.

Today, I am also completing my studies in the Photography Department at Santa Monica College. I continue to learn, grow, and discover new sides of photography. For me, photography is not just about taking beautiful pictures. It is about seeing people, understanding their story, and creating images that feel honest and elevated.

I especially love working with maternity clients, families, children, beauty brands, and small businesses. My sessions are guided, comfortable, and thoughtfully planned, so my clients do not have to worry about posing or what to do in front of the camera.

Another important part of my creative life is dance. I was professionally involved in dance for 18 years, and today both of my daughters are part of the dance world. Because of this, photographing dancers feels very personal to me. I understand movement, lines, posture, emotion, and the discipline behind every performance.

I am proud to be the photographer for Santa Clarita Ballet Academy. My dance photography has been used for promotional materials, advertising, and billboards. This work connects my love for photography with my long history in dance, and it allows me to capture the beauty, strength, and elegance of young performers.

Based in Los Angeles, I work with clients in Santa Clarita, Valencia, and surrounding areas. My photography includes brand photography, maternity sessions, family portraits, event photography, model portfolios, kids photography, dance photography, and content creation for businesses.

My goal is to create images that feel natural, polished, and meaningful — photographs that help you remember a season of life, present your business professionally, or tell your story with confidence.
